Shipping Bike Empty
PostSubject: Shipping Bike   Shipping Bike EmptyWed Apr 21, 2010 12:02 pm

Anyone know of local bike shops that offer service to pack up your bike and ship it for a race? I'm signed up for the Miami Ironman 70.3 and the race has a local shop in Miami that will receive the bike, re-assemble and transport to the race site, but I need a shop on this end to handle the shipping (I'm extremely non-mechanical and would not be comfortable doing it myself - hence the need for suggestions on a local shop I can pay to do it for me!).

I would check with Cycle Center in Stamford, their right off the merit. It’s a good tri shop. They offer instructions on how to pack a bike on their site (see link below) but I bet they would break it down and box if for you (for a fee obviously). Worth a call, the owner is a familiar with GTC. Miami should be a good race, filled up quick!
